Job Summary
Resort Maintenance Technician responsible for routine and preventative maintenance to preserve Sun’s resort properties, performing building repairs, grounds upkeep, irrigation inspection, pool/spa and playground maintenance, cleaning common areas, operating power tools and equipment, and assisting with site setups to ensure timely guest arrivals and departures. Must support curb appeal, handle minor repairs, and provide reliable guest service while working in outdoor, seasonal conditions. Requires High School Diploma or GED and ability to lift 50 pounds; prior campground/RV resort maintenance experience preferred; proficient with hand/tools, basic reporting, and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 6 months in previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort (Preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
- Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require outdoor work
- General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
- Ability to provide legible written reports
- Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
- Availability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call
