Job Summary
Oversee resort maintenance operations at a Sun Outdoors property, supervising maintenance team members, coordinating with on-site contractors, and ensuring safety and compliance across grounds, facilities, pools, and auxiliary systems. Responsibilities include following up on work orders, water testing for wells or on-site meters, inspections of resident sites, selection and oversight of contractual services, and maintaining maintenance logs and inventory. Additional duties include move-in procedures support, capital expenditure review, budgeting alignment, and ensuring proper storage of hazardous chemicals and safe operation of tools and vehicles. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3 years in maintenance with supervisory experience, knowledge of plumbing/construction/pool/grounds maintenance, proficiency with hand tools and power equipment, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond after hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 3 years in experience with general maintenance techniques, repair work, and groundskeeping (Required)
- 1 year in supervisory experience (Required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing, construction, pool and grounds maintenance
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools and power equipment
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and train staff
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet
- Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
