Job Summary
Prepare resumes for member events and hotel programming ten days prior to start dates and review all details in weekly Group Resume meetings. Coordinate all aspects of conferences including food and beverage, audio-visual, rooming lists, and décor while ensuring banquet event orders are accurate 15 days in advance. Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings, communicate with banquet managers, and serve as the onsite contract for events. Adhere to standard operating procedures, perform site inspections, and remain available to hotel managers while on property. Manage departmental revenue and budgets, participate in regular operational meetings, and handle flexible weekend and holiday hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour luxury resort operation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in catering sales, or conference services, preferably as a manager in a luxury hotel property
- Experience working within Forbes Five-Star or comparable luxury service environments
- Proficient organizational and project management skills necessary to meet established deadlines
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with booking events, submitting BEO requests, and utilizing platforms such as Amadeus
- Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude
- Appropriate, professional appearance and presentation
- Flexible work hours to include weekend and holidays in order to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
- Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written, and non-verbal communication
- Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
