Job Summary
Resort Associate role at Pet Paradise involves supervising and interacting with pets inside the resort and in outdoor play yards, following feeding directions, maintaining cleanliness of suites and dog runs, disposing of waste, sanitizing areas, monitoring pets and reporting any unusual behaviors or injuries to management/veterinarian services, applying proper dog-handling techniques, and upholding high pet-safety standards. The position offers advancement through programs such as the Unleashed Leadership Academy, Dog Training Academy scholarships, and Grooming Academy, plus benefits including complimentary pet services, on-demand pay, veterinary care discounts, EAP, 401(k) with match, health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and other perks. Starting wage is $13.50/hour with potential increases at 6 months and on the annual anniversary date.
Required Qualifications
- This position requires a considerable amount of physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and maintenance of the suites
- True passion for working with animals
- Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material
