Job Summary
Provide care for dogs and other pets at Pet Paradise’s resort, including supervising pets both indoors and in play yards, following feeding directions and quantities, maintaining cleanliness of suites and dog runs, disposing of waste, and reporting unusual behaviors or injuries to management/veterinarian services. Maintain pet safety through proper dog handling techniques and adherence to training policies, and support a positive, team-oriented environment. Required Qualifications
- This position requires a considerable amount of physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and maintenance of the suites
- True passion for working with animals
- Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs safely and frequently, using the OSHA standard three points of contact
