Job Summary
Operate a tractor and pneumatic tank trailer to transport raw materials from rail sites to the WL Plastics facility, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections while maintaining DOT records. Load and unload the trailer, conduct general maintenance on vehicles and equipment, and operate industrial vehicles including forklifts and man lifts. Assist in quality and production by cutting, stacking, and cleaning product scrap for recycling, adhering to the Quality Program manual. Perform general shop duties, including housekeeping and operating maintenance grinding machines, while working 10-hour days, four days a week with weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. citizen having legal status to reside and work in the U.S for reasons other than practical training
- current Class A CDL driver's license and clean driving record
- ability to obtain a medical certificate upon accepting position
- minimum of 2 years Class A CDL driving experience with tanker endorsement
- knowledge and understanding of pneumatic tank trailer
- ability to work safely in a production and industrial environment and follow company safety SHE policies
- physically capable of performing job related tasks and job duties, including ability to climb, stand, stoop, and lift objects up to 50LBS
- Good organizational skills-ability to determine priorities, manage time properly, and multi-task
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of DOT rules and regulations
- Ability to work in a team environment with positive outcomes

- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and distinguish color
- Walk, sit, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, balance, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear
- Use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders
- Ability to wear PPE, including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe footwear that meets ASTM F-2413-2005 standards while in required locations
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather during shifts, excluding breaks
- Must be able to work inside and outside during inclement weather
- Must be able to work 10 hr workdays, weekends included
- Candidates will be subject to a background check, DOT drug and alcohol screen, and functional capacity test in accordance with applicable laws
