Job Summary
Operate extruding machines to produce reprocessed material for molded products, removing reprocessed material and supplying chips and regrinds to all extruders. Unload chip deliveries via skid steer into holding bins and store both raw and reprocessed materials in proper locations while maintaining sufficient supplies of production-related items. Act as Relief Operator when required and perform Quality Auditor duties as trained. Complete required paperwork, follow all safety requirements including respirator fit tests and facial hair guidelines, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Operate forklift and pallet jack with valid certifications. Work 12-hour shifts on the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11pm–7am) outside in the elements, lifting 50 lbs and bending to move materials.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- General verbal, written and math skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand up twelve (12) hours a day
- Self-motivated
- Detailed understanding of Extruding Machine Operation
- Must be able to drive forklift and/or skid steer as needed throughout the day
- Must be able to work outside in the elements as needed throughout the year
- Must be able to bend, push, pull and twist to move gaylords of material, chips, and repro to various workstations
- Must be able to shovel, sweep, or otherwise move material and equipment as needed
- Must be able to wear a respirator which requires you to be clean shaven
Desired Qualifications
- Successfully complete a Forklift Driver Training Program
- Achieve forklift certification
- Achieve Skid steer certification
- Perform Quality Auditor duties as trained
