Job Summary
Youth Care Specialist provides direct care for abused/neglect youth within a therapeutic, trauma-informed framework. Responsibilities include monitoring, guiding, mentoring, and instructing youth; collaborating with the team; documenting records; planning activities; supporting self-regulation; crisis intervention; transporting youth as needed; ensuring safety and adherence to licensing and program standards; and modeling positive values while supporting educational needs and family involvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Texas driver’s license, appropriate insurance, and reliable car
- Ability to pass reference verification
- Ability to attend required trainings
- Flexibility to work a wide array of hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Age minimum of 21 years per licensing standards
