Job Summary
Conduct daily routines and lead engaging activities while modeling positive behavior and teaching life skills to youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges. Guide de-escalation efforts and build healthy relationships, then document all interactions and provide transportation for community needs. Maintain strict privacy practices to protect youth safety and honor confidentiality standards. Requires a high school diploma, age 21 or older, computer proficiency, and physical ability to lift 30 lbs. Earn $18 to $20 hourly with shift differentials, free meals, and 401k. Join Lad Lake, the oldest youth service organization in the state, to support 1,200+ youth through evidence-based, trauma-informed programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least 21 years old
- Know your way around a computer and MS Office
- Possess patience, understanding & trauma-focused care, especially when things get rough
- Celebrate different cultures, backgrounds, and abilities
- Ability to be physically engaged and lift at least 30 lbs
- Ability to use verbal de-escalation techniques
- Ability to complete appropriate documentation
- Ability to honor privacy practices
