Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver for Milton Hershey School: a full-time, two-person married-couple role (Flex Houseparents) living in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor a group of students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The position starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living with the same group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Relocation to Hershey, PA required
- On-campus housing provided as part of compensation
