Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Benefits include a salary of $44,768 per person (about $168,000 total per couple), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance and paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
