Job Summary
Two-person Married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, provide care and guidance, administer medications, drive to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and eventually transition to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students; relocation to Hershey, PA is required and benefits include salary, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid relocation/training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
