Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on-campus in a student-home setting to supervise, mentor, and support 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off rotations to a Placed Houseparent model. Qualifications require youth-work experience, a legally married two-person team with both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to campus conduct policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
