Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for a two-person married couple serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School’s on-campus student homes. Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of a group of approximately 8–13 students, including administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. Initially operate on a nine days-on, three days-off schedule across multiple homes, then transition to a placed houseparent role with a consistent student-home assignment. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a two-spouse married-couple commitment with both spouses completing individual applications; adherence to campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role requiring married couple
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Two-year marriage minimum
- Residence as two-person team in student home
- Experience working with youth preferred
