Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions while planning recreational engagements. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment supports academic, emotional, and social development. This role requires married couples to reside on campus, with a schedule of nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off. Upon hire, staff support various homes before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. The position offers a salary of $44,768 per person, free housing, meals, and relocation assistance at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
