Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couples) live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a placed houseparent role. The role requires on-campus living in Hershey, PA, relocation assistance, and benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off. Both spouses must apply individually and be at least 27 years old with a valid driver’s license; high school diploma or GED required. The position involves a nine days on/three days off schedule initially, with eventual placement in a single student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse mutual employment required (both spouses must complete individual applications)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Proselytizing prohibited during devotions/Sunday Chapel
