Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in Oberlin, OH, and supervise/mentor a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a Placed Houseparent with shared duties housed in a student home. The role includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications, and each must meet the two-year marriage requirement and age 27+; on-site residence is early-career to mid-career with a structured, family-like environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
