Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents needed for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. A married couple will reside on-campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and engagement in developmental/recreational activities for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include budgeting, household reporting, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. Start with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; salary per person is $44,768 with total compensation around $168,000 per couple (including housing and meals). Benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married (spouse)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
