Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on / three-days-off cycle transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Salary is $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 total per couple when including housing, meals, utilities, and benefits). Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA as part of the role
