Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples (Full-time Flex Houseparents) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmentally supportive activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and progress from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a Placed Houseparent with the same group of students. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; relocation assistance and paid training provided; two-person, legally married couple with both spouses aged 27+ would apply together.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
