Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, provide medications as needed, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational programs, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. Initially, duty consists of nine consecutive days on with three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, and benefits include comprehensive health coverage, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance. Requires a legally married couple with at least two years of marriage, both spouses age 27+, and a high school diploma or GED; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and possess a valid driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans. Both spouses must complete individual employment applications to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
