Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples (Full-time Flex Houseparents) at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, administer medications, drive to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a work schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA and on-campus housing benefits; requires both spouses to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- People must be legally married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Two spouses must be age 27 or older
