Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver responsible for two-person Flex Houseparent teams living on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Provide care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of about 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and support multiple student homes before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; relocation to on-campus housing is included in compensation. Includes full benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
