Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on an on-campus student home, providing care, supervision, and guidance for about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Requires two-spouse, legally married couple, with relocation to Hershey, PA and relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- On-campus housing duties; ability to live in assignments with students
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required; ability to become certified to drive student vans
- Relocation to Hershey, PA required
