Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple full-time Flex Houseparent role residing on Milton Hershey School campus to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting; initially support multiple student homes on a nine-on, three-off schedule, with eventual placement as a consistent houseparent in a dedicated student home.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
