Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver for Milton Hershey School’s on-campus student homes. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside with 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, care, and guidance. Duties include supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities evolve from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Requires experience with youth, a two-person married couple arrangement, valid driver’s license, and on-campus residence obligations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
