Job Summary
Two-person married couple live-in Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students per home, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and progresses to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; includes comprehensive benefits and paid relocation training. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. This is a full-time, two-person role for legally married couples, with both spouses completing individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse 2-person role
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
