Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School—onsite on-campus homes for 8–13 students—are held by married couples who reside with students, supervise daily routines, manage household activities, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting, and provide mentorship. The position includes relocation to Hershey, PA, comprehensive benefits, and a benefits package, with a working schedule of nine days on, three days off during the initial phase, followed by placement in a consistent student-home assignment. Both spouses must apply individually and meet age and marital criteria; a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required. High school diploma or GED is required, and experience with youth is preferred. Relocation assistance is provided. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and on-site housing meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Two-person role for legally married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
