Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples to live in on-campus student homes as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing household routines and budgeting, and reporting on household activities. The program starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group. Compensation is $44,768 per person, plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; total compensation for the couple is around $168,000. Requires high school diploma or GED, two-year married status, both spouses age 27+, clean campus conduct, and possession of a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proselytizing prohibited in chapels/services
- Two-person role for couples; both must complete individual applications
