Residential Youth Caregiver — a Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. A two-person, married-couple position based on-campus in Hershey, PA, housing and guiding a group of students (approximately 813) through daily supervision, mentorship, and structured routines. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role evolves from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule during early placement and relocation assistance provided. Comprehensive benefits and salary ~$44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) with housing, meals on duty, and other benefits are included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role; both spouses must apply
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
