Job Summary
Residential two-person Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Full-time on-campus positions housing and supervising a group of approximately 8–13 students, delivering care, mentoring, supervision, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Start with a nine-on, three-off schedule, with progression to a placed Houseparent living in the same student home. Relocation to Hershey, PA provided with comprehensive benefits and salary per person around $44,768, plus housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Two-spouse role with both spouses applying individually
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
