Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include relocation assistance and paid training; salary is $44,768 per person (~$168,000 total per couple) with comprehensive benefits and housing provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Commitment to care for 8–13 students in a home setting
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
