Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples to reside on Milton Hershey School campus, providing care, supervision, and guidance to 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent student-home assignment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse employment applications required (both spouses must apply)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
Additional Requirements
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Prohibited to have more than one dog or pets outside allowed breeds
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
