Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples on Milton Hershey School campus. Couples live in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and attend Sunday Chapel. The position begins with a nine-on/nine-off cycle before transitioning to a placed houseparent assignment with the same student group. Salary per person is $44,768 with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, including free housing and benefits. Requires two-year married status, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, and retirement savings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two years married minimum for both spouses (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus residence with full-time schedule (nine days on, three off)
