Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver — a two-person, married-couple role located on Milton Hershey School's on-campus homes in Hershey, PA. Couples live with 8–13 students, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of household routines; responsibilities include administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. Initial nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role. Benefits include salary per person around $44,768 plus housing, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a high school diploma or GED. Also requires experience with youth, integrity, and professionalism; must complete individual applications for both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment applications required (two-person role)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth
- Two-year marriage minimum for each spouse
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
