Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents (married couples) reside on-campus in student homes to provide care, supervision, guidance, and development support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning engaging developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially staff will work a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple homes, with eventual placement into a single student home. Benefits include salary per person plus full benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
