Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver roles for married couples at Milton Hershey School involve living on campus in student homes and providing care, supervision, and mentorship to 8–13 students. The position starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with eventual placement into a stable home where the couple lives with the same group of students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Proven experience or volunteer work with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus and work with a group of 8–13 students
- Willingness to participate in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- High school diploma or GED required
