Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School, relocating to Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for ~8–13 students, including daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a consistent student home. Requires a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; proselytizing prohibited. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided; salary $46,917 per person (~$180,000 total per couple) plus housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
