Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver (Flex Houseparents) for Milton Hershey School. Two-person, full-time on-campus role living in student homes with 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, competitive compensation per person (~$46,917) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; must be part of a legally married couple (two-year marriage minimum) and both spouses aged 27 or older. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willing to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; be role models for students
