Job Summary
Residential two-personFlex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to care for a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed Houseparent role with same group of students. The position follows a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with responsibilities expanding to ongoing supervision and engagement in academic, emotional, and social development of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
