Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents (married couple) reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA to provide care, guidance, supervision, and mentorship for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-day-on, three-day-off cycle and progresses to a Placed Houseparent position living and working with the same students in their own home. Relocation assistance is provided. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
