Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparent roles for married couples residing on Milton Hershey School campus to care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like home environment. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a placed houseparent living with the same students. Comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance provided; on-campus housing and meals are included. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a two-year married commitment for both spouses; must be age 27+ for each spouse.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Willing to relocate to Hershey, PA
