Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students living in on-campus homes, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and supervising household routines and budgeting. The role begins as a Flex Houseparent with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. The positions are two-person roles for married couples, with relocation to Hershey, PA, and provide benefits including salary per person, health/dental/vision insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus; responsibilities also include leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel and managing student wellness and schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
