Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School on-campus student homes. Couples reside with a group of approximately 8–13 students, providing care, supervision, mentorship, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule initially involves nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a fixed student-home assignment. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided with relocation assistance and paid training; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement, PTO, and housing utilities. A two-person, married-couple requirement is essential for consideration; both spouses must apply and meet eligibility requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-person employment applications required (both spouses)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
