Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role at Milton Hershey School for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside on-campus in student homes, supervising 8–13 students, providing guidance and support, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; requires high school diploma or GED, two years of legal marriage, and both spouses aged 27 or older. A two-person application is required for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
