Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent team members reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide care, supervision, and guidance for approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a Flex Houseparent to a placed Houseparent in the same student home. The role requires a strong commitment to student development, a smoke- and weapon-free campus environment, and relocation to Hershey, PA with paid training and relocation assistance. Each spouse must complete an individual employment application. Salary is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple with benefits and housing).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
