Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance to 8–13 students in on-campus homes while managing household routines, schedules, and budgeting. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions and chapel services. Plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities to foster academic, emotional, and social growth. Work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Both spouses must be married for at least two years, over 27, and hold a valid driver's license to operate student vans.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
