Job Summary
Two-person married couple serves as Full-time Flex Houseparents on-campus in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent to live and work with the same group of students. Benefits include a salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse employment applications required (both spouses must complete individual applications)
- Valid U.S. driver's license and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapels
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
