Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples (Flex Houseparents) at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside on campus in student homes, supervising ~813 students, providing mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; role progresses to Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Compensation per person is $44,768 with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; requires legally married status for at least two years and both spouses to complete individual applications. On-campus housing, meals on duty, and other benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-year married status
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience helping youth or volunteering with youth
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Residence on-campus in student homes
- Ability to supervise and mentor students
- Ability to manage household routines and schedules
- Ability to administer medications
- Ability to drive students to activities
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Placed Houseparent progression after nine days on/three off
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
