Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students daily, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent home with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person with comprehensive insurance, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Two-person role for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
